Month of Madness!

I. Post-work wine with my new glitter manicure.
II. Macarons for my birthday.
III. Intoxicated selfies with the boyf on my birthday.
IV. Starting a new cuff trend.
V. Raspberry smoothie.
VI. My hair looking a bit reverse ombre.
I am so sorry, this past month I have by far been the laziest blogger ever! It has been a crazy time for me, I have been super busy and found it hard to stay in the routine of blogging regularly. Also my internet was out cold for about a week and a half which made it difficult to post! The past month has seen me working hard again in the retail world, complete a short course in fashion drawing and design, celebrate my 20th birthday, housesit for 10 days, begin personal training along with a weight loss challenge among other things! I should have a few posts coming up soon including a birthday haul, and a post specifically about my short course that I completed along with an update on my tertiary studies sitch. I just wanted the blogging world know that I am making my way back and that I'm sorry for being MIA the past month!

II. A Bolivian Kiss shooter which includes Agwa, bought for my friends and I by a mysterious man who we likened to Bruce Wayne (but not in the looks department).
III. Strawberries, vanilla yogurt and LSA- my new favourite breakfast!
IV. Aimee and I at the Vogue Runway at Chadstone.
V. THAT Thurley blazer!
VI. Photobooth at Chadstone VIP night with Aimee and Andy.
VII. I'm lusting after Lady Gaga Fame.
VIII. Never noticed that Moche looks like she has winged eyeliner until now.
IX. My new bedsheets by KOO, probably the girliest sheets ever!
In other news.... I am now employed by Valleygirl! I have my first shift tomorrow at Fountain Gate Westfield (or Fountain Lakes for all you Kath and Kim fans). I am so excited to be working again, it's been so long since Cotton On. I'm also looking forward to being surrounded by fashion at work once again. Valleygirl opens at Fountain Gate this Thursday so come pop in and pick up some goodies!

Vogue Australia SS12 Runway Show (& Cocktail Party) @ The Fashion Capital

On Wednesday 12 September I was privileged enough to be able to attend the SS12 Vogue Australia Runway presented at Chadstone, The Fashion Capital. Chadstone were kind enough to offer me the opportunity to attend as a Chadstone Fashion Blogger so I obviously jumped at the opportunity immediately! As a baby fashion blogger who is new to this world, I am extremely grateful to Chadstone for allowing me to attend such an event as it has done wonders for my appetite for fashion and blogging combined. I was also invited to attend the Australian Designer Cocktail Party and I had every intention of going however time got the better of me and I sadly missed out on attending. Despite missing out on the cocktail party, I still had a fantastic night and the amount of style I was exposed to was ridiculous!

I attended Runway A at 6.30pm with my best friend Aimee. There were several trends covered during the show- cobalt blue, city luxe, urban nomad, graphic print, embellishment, strong elegance and age of romance. Aimee and I were both blown away by all the different looks but there was definitely a standout piece for us both- the Paradise Neon blazer and shorts by Thurley featured in Graphic Print. Below are my three favourite looks from each trend including the designers and why I love each ensemble.

Cobalt
I. Kate Sylvester (Myer)- Love the idea of pairing two tones of the same colour, something I'm too afraid to do!
II. Country Road- This look made me think of my boyfriend as it's the perfect mix between smart and casual which is how he likes to dress.
III. Sambag- Kaftans are quite on trend at the moment, especially with Summer on its way and this print makes me want to fly to Greece immediately.
City Luxe
I. Josh Goot (David Jones)- The skirt hem has a dip to it, making the skirt look playful yet structured.
II. Thurley- The sexy cut of the back of this jumpsuit reveals just enough skin and I adore the metallic belt paired with it.
III. Bassike (David Jones)- Wearing all white is so risque but I would definitely try to pull of this look as I love the panelling on the front of the shirt and the cuffs.
Urban Nomad
I. Gorman- Gorgeous pairing of brights and polkadots, this knit looked devine due to its cute pattern.
II. Sambag- Such a nicely shaped dress, Sambag have nailed the a-line without making it look like a potato sack!
III. Morrison- To me this look is almost boho, and I think that's why I fell in love with it. I really love knits paired with skirts!
Graphic Print
I. Josh Goot (David Jones)- Mirrored prints are so on trend right now and I was definitely attracted to that neon green collar detail.
II. Calvin Klein- Blazers paired with shorts make my heart skip a beat, in a good way. This print made me think of diamonds.... do not ask me why as I have no idea!
III. Thurley- No joke, I want to get married in this blazer and shorts! Actually, scratch that, I want to marry this set! Words can't even describe my love for these pieces. Thurley won me over with this Paradise Neon look!
I also adored these heels by Wittner that featured heavily during the graphic print section.
Embellishment
I. Sass and Bide- Spots and stripes look brilliant together, and the emerald green provides the perfect pop.
II. Thurley- The flirty skirt is stunning and the dainty beaded detail was incredible.
III. Manning Cartell- Peplums are very on trend at the moment so I was just taken by this gown as soon as I saw it.
Strong Elegance
I. Thurley- Mint and pleats, what more could a girl want in a dress!
II. Arthur Galan- This suit was an unreal lilac colour, I would kill to see my boyfriend in it however I don't think this is a look that every guy could pull off.
III. Thurley- Enjoying the peplum design and the crispness of the white.
Age of Romance
I. Thurley- Yet another Thurley outfit, the feathering on the skirt was insane! Zara also currently stocks some similar style skirts.
II. Adolfo Dominguez- Midnight blue with a high-low hem seemed to remind me of a peacock, but a beautiful peacock indeed!
III. Bettina Liano- The sheerness of this dress is something that would not sit well with me, but this model pulls it off stunningly.

There was an obvious trend to my favourite pieces, did anyone notice it? Most of my favourite looks were from THURLEY! Thurley definitely was a winner in my books with their pieces perfectly covering each and every trend in their own unique and stylish way.  I had an outstanding night and can't wait to cover a few more Chadstone events! Hope to hear from you guys telling me your favourite looks and all that's left for me to do is to save up enough moolah to be able to purchase the Thurley Paradise Neon jacket!
